Security & Privacy
Yes! All connections use secure WebSocket (WSS) over HTTPS, meaning your data is encrypted in transit. We don't store your clipboard content permanently – it's only held temporarily while your session is active.
Absolutely not. We don't permanently store your clipboard content, we don't track your usage patterns, and we certainly don't sell any data. Your privacy is our top priority. Read our Privacy Policy for complete details.
Rooms remain active as long as at least one device is connected. After all devices disconnect, the room data is automatically cleaned up after a period of inactivity. This ensures your data doesn't persist longer than necessary.
Troubleshooting
If you're having connection issues, try these steps:
- Make sure both devices are using the exact same room code
- Check that you have a stable internet connection
- Try refreshing the page on both devices
- Ensure your browser isn't blocking WebSocket connections
- Try a different browser if the issue persists
Make sure both devices show "Connected" status (green indicator). If one shows "Disconnected," try refreshing that page. Also verify that both devices are in the same room by checking the room code displayed on each device.
Pasterify stores a local clipboard history in your browser (up to 50 items). You can access this from the sidebar by clicking "History." However, if you clear your browser data or use an incognito window, this history won't be available.
